Vodafone Idea implementeert Mavenir OpenRAN-oplossing
Plannen uitbreiding van TDD & Massive MIMO-implementaties in 2020
MUMBAI, India & RICHARDSON, Texas– (BUSINESS WIRE) – Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL), de toonaangevende telecomoperator van India, heeft de op Open RAN gebaseerde implementaties in India uitgebreid met OpenRAN-oplossingsproviders. VIL’s OpenRAN is geïmplementeerd op meerdere Cell-sites en vervoert sinds december 2019 commercieel verkeer. De implementatie is uitgevoerd met behulp van Mavenir’s Open RAN-oplossingen voor 4G die gedesaggregeerde oplossingen bieden met behulp van CoTS-apparatuur en nieuwe radiopartners.
VIL zet zich in voor OpenRAN en zal de uitrol van TDD- en Ma-MIMO-sites in andere steden dit jaar uitbreiden.
Vodafone Idea heeft de grootste inzet van Ma-MIMO in India gedaan, waardoor de capaciteit op belangrijke markten aanzienlijk is vergroot.

VIL is committed to OpenRAN and will extend the deployment of TDD and Ma-MIMO sites in other cities this year.
Vodafone Idea has done the largest deployment of Ma-MIMO in India substantially enhancing capacities in key markets.
