LONDEN–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Barclays kondigt vandaag de benoeming aan van François Baroin als voorzitter, Frankrijk.

François werd in 2018 aangesteld als Senior Advisor van Barclays en heeft sindsdien een indrukwekkende bijdrage geleverd aan de activiteiten van de bank, met name door een sleutelrol te spelen bij de uitbreiding van Barclays Corporate and Investment Bank in Frankrijk. Gezien het succes van deze samenwerking zal François nu een bredere rol op zich nemen als voorzitter van Barclays, Frankrijk, en zijn betrokkenheid vergroten om de franchise van Barclays in het land te helpen groeien.

In zijn nieuwe en uitgebreide rol zal François zich richten op het stimuleren van klantrelaties, commerciële kansen en omzetgroei in alle bedrijfsonderdelen van de bank in Frankrijk.

François is een bekende figuur, hij bekleedde verschillende ministeriële functies en was eerder lid van het parlement. Hij was regeringswoordvoerder, minister van Binnenlandse Zaken, minister van Financiën en minister van Economie in Frankrijk tussen 2005 en 2012.

LONDON–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Barclays today announces the appointment of François Baroin as Chairman, France.

François was appointed as a Senior Advisor to Barclays in 2018 and has since then made an impressive contribution to the bank’s activities, notably playing a key role in the expansion of Barclays Corporate and Investment Bank in France. Given the success of this partnership, François will now take on a broader role as Chairman of Barclays, France, and increase his involvement to help grow Barclays’ franchise in the country.

In his new and expanded role François will focus on driving client relationships, commercial opportunities and revenue growth across all of the bank’s business lines in France.

François is a well-known figure, having held several ministerial offices and previously served as a member of parliament. He was Government Spokesman, Interior Minister, Finance Minister and Minister of the Economy in France between 2005 and 2012.
