Nieuwe oplossingen van Thales helpen met het vinden, beschermen en beheren van data in multi-cloudomgevingen
- Nieuwe oplossingen bieden verbeterde bescherming van gevoelige informatie binnen de clouds van hyperscalers als Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure en Amazon Web Services.
- Organisaties kunnen hun eigen security-mechanismen in de cloud onderbrengen en een oplossing bieden voor het vinden van bedrijfskritische data, het reduceren van de operationele complexiteit en het waarborgen van datasoevereiniteit.
Elke cloud provider biedt weer andere mechanismen voor het beschermen en beheren van data. Dit stelt organisaties met multi-cloudomgevingen voor complexe opgaven. De nieuwe oplossingen van Thales voor het beveiligen van data in de cloud bieden organisaties grip op hun encryptiesleutels, het toegangsbeheer en de authenticatie binnen hybride en multi-cloudomgevingen.

Vereenvoudigde beveiliging van multi-cloudomgevingen
In een tijd waarin steeds meer organisaties een beroep doen op de voordelen van multi-cloudomgevingen maakt Thales het eenvoudiger voor hen om zich te beschermen tegen reputatierisico’s en boetes van toezichthouders als gevolg van een datalekken. Met de nieuwe oplossingen kunnen zij profiteren van verbeterde mogelijkheden voor het vinden, beschermen en beheren van gevoelige informatie binnen multi-cloudomgevingen, met onder meer de volgende mogelijkheden.
Gevoelige informatie in de cloud en op locatie vinden
Thales Data Discovery and Classification automatiseert de discovery, classificatie en bescherming van data in de cloud. De oplossing biedt beleidsregels voor het geautomatiseerd in kaart brengen van gevoelige data en het beschermen daarvan met encryptie of tokenisation. Deze mogelijkheden worden nu aangevuld met functionaliteit voor de discovery en classificatie van data in Amazon Web Services S3-buckets en storage-omgevingen in Azure Blob.
Bescherming van gevoelige data en workloads in de cloud
Met het oog op de complexiteit rond de locaties waarin data ligt opgeslagen en het waarborgen van de datasoevereiniteit in een multi-cloudomgeving is er effectieve encryptie en tokenisation nodig. Specifieke nieuwe mogelijkheden voor databescherming in de cloud zijn onder meer:
- CipherTrust Transparent Encryption biedt geavanceerde encryptie en toegangsmechanismen voor het beschermen van data in de Amazon Web Services Simple Storage Service (S3)
- Encryptie van Kubernetes-secrets en ondertekeningssleutels voor Google Anthos Service Mesh
Toegangsbeheer voor applicaties en gevoelige data in de cloud
Het gebruik van encryptie is eveneens in een stroomversnelling gekomen. Als gevolg hiervan moeten organisaties veel meer encryptiesleutels beheren voor zowel traditionele data stores als multi-cloudomgevingen. Thales biedt nieuwe mogelijkheden die hen grip bieden op de toegang tot data en het eigendom van hun encryptiesleutels.
- CipherTrust Cloud Key Manager van Thales biedt nu ook ondersteuning voor de External Key Manager (EKM) van Google Cloud. Daarmee bouwt het voort op de bestaande CipherTrust Key Broker for Google Cloud EKM, een onderdeel van het cloudplatform Thales Data Protection on Demand.
Beveiliging op het punt van aanmelding
Misbruik van aanmeldingsgegevens en identiteiten behoort tot de belangrijkste oorzaken van datalekken.
- SafeNet Trusted Access biedt kant-en-klare integratie met Google Workspace, Azure en AWS voor het toepassen van relevante mechanismen voor authenticatie en toegangsbeheer op zowel reguliere gebruikers als gebruikers met speciale toegangsrechten.
- SafeNet Trusted Access biedt nieuwe authenticatiemogelijkheden en machtigingen voor API’s en applicaties die geen gebruikmaken van branchestandaard protocollen als SAML en OIDC.

These capabilities have now been extended to the discovery and classification of data in Amazon Web Services S3 buckets and Azure Blob storage.

Thales has enabled new capabilities that allow organisations to control access to data and ownership of their encryption keys, including:
- Thales is also offering CipherTrust Cloud Key Manager support for Google Cloud’s External Key Manager (EKM), building on the existing CipherTrust Key Broker for Google Cloud EKM which is part of the Thales Data Protection on Demand cloud-based platform.
Secure and Protect access at the Login Point
Compromised identities pose one of the greatest risks for data breaches:
- SafeNet Trusted Access integrates out of the box with Google Workspace, Azure and AWS, enforcing the appropriate access controls and authentication for privileged and regular users.
- SafeNet Trusted Access is offering new abilities to provide authentication and authorisation for APIs and for applications not using industry-standard protocols such as SAML and OIDC.
