YesHealth Group en Nordic Harvest voltooien eerste bouwfase van Europa’s grootste verticale boerderij
KOPENHAGEN– (BUSINESS WIRE) – De nieuwe verticale boerderij Nordic Harvest staat 14 verdiepingen hoog in een faciliteit van 7000 vierkante meter op Copenhagen Markets, aan de rand van de hoofdstad van Denemarken. Het wordt Europa’s grootste en meest efficiënte verticale indoor farm, met eigen technologieën van YesHealth Group, robotica, hydrocultuur, arrays van meer dan 20.000 LED’s en slimme software voor het verwerken van meer dan 5000 individuele datapunten, allemaal geïntegreerd met Nordic Harvest’s ontwerp van processtroom en verpakking.
In samenwerking met YesHealth Group en Nordic Harvest A/S zijn zij in april van dit jaar begonnen met de bouw van de verticale boerderij en de eerste fase van de bouw was na slechts zes maanden voltooid. De productie begint in het eerste kwartaal van 2021 en de winst wordt binnen het eerste jaar geprojecteerd, waardoor deze verticale boerderij een model van haalbaarheid wordt voor de sector als geheel. De financiële projecties zijn gebaseerd op een schaalmodel, waarbij de verticale boerderij zal groeien van een initiële jaarlijkse capaciteit van 200 ton naar een enorme jaarlijkse capaciteit van 1000 ton in het vierde kwartaal van 2021.
YesHealth Group and Nordic Harvest Complete First Phase of Construction on Europe’s Largest Vertical Farm
COPENHAGEN–(BUSINESS WIRE)– The new Nordic Harvest vertical farm stands 14-stories high in a 7000 sq. meter facility at Copenhagen Markets, on the outskirts of Denmark’s capital. It will be Europe’s largest and most efficient indoor vertical farm, featuring YesHealth Group proprietary technologies, robotics, hydroponics, arrays of more than 20,000 LEDs, and smart software for processing over 5000 individual data points, all integrated with Nordic Harvest’s design of process flow and packaging.
Working in partnership, YesHealth Group and Nordic Harvest A/S began constructing the vertical farm in April this year, and the first phase of construction was completed after just six months. Production will begin in the first quarter of 2021 and profits are projected within the first year, making this vertical farm a model of feasibility for the industry at large. The financial projections are based on a scale-up model, which will see the vertical farm expand from an initial 200-tonne annual capacity to a massive 1000-tonne annual capacity during the fourth quarter of 2021.
