Comilog, onderdeel van de Eramet-groep, heeft JRC en Geka Telecom geselecteerd om een privé LTE-netwerk in te zetten voor zijn mijnoperatie in Gabon
TOKIO– (BUSINESS WIRE) – Comilog, het toonaangevende mangaanbedrijf, heeft besloten om een privé 4G/LTE-netwerk te bouwen in Moanda, Gabon. JRC en Geka Telecom werden geselecteerd om een kant-en-klare oplossing te bieden. JRC zal de LTE-infrastructuur leveren voor honderden abonnees en 4 RF-sites, terwijl GEKA Telecom de volledige diensten zal leveren.
Als onderdeel van een poging om het operatieproces van de Moanda-mijn te moderniseren, investeert Comilog in een moderne en beveiligde LTE-infrastructuur. Het veldpersoneel wordt uitgerust met robuuste tablets en smartphones. Het doel is om de verschillende processen te digitaliseren om de efficiëntie te verhogen en papier te verminderen. Deze inspanning maakt deel uit van een algemeen project genaamd Comilog 2020 om de capaciteit van de mijn te vergroten en de lokale toegevoegde waarde te vergroten.

TOKYO–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Comilog, the leading manganese company, has decided to build a Private 4G/LTE network in Moanda, Gabon. JRC and Geka Telecom were selected to provide a turnkey solution. JRC will provide the LTE infrastructure for hundreds of subscribers and 4 RF sites, while GEKA Telecom will provide the full services.
As part of an effort to modernize the operation process of Moanda mine, Comilog is investing in a modern and secured LTE infrastructure. Field staff will be equipped with ruggedized tablets and smartphones. The target is to digitalize the various processes to increase efficiency and reduce paper. This effort is part of an overall project called Comilog 2020 to increase the capacity of the mine and to enhance local added value.
JRC LTE infrastructure was chosen for the quality of its offer. The proposed LTE infrastructure is designed to meet mission critical environment and performance. GEKA Telecom will provide its expertise for the settings of the network and the installation.
