ICT Expo presenteert Smart City-oplossingen

HONG KONG–(BUSINESS WIRE)–De HKTDC International ICT Expo vindt dit jaar plaats in het Conferentie- en Expositiecentrum van Hong Kong, van 13 tot 16 april. Centraal staan een reeks oplossingen rond slimme economie, slimme omgeving, slimme overheid, slim leven, slimme mobiliteit en slimme mensen. Het thema luidt dan ook: Smart City • Smart Living.

Het kantoor van de Chief Information Officer van de regering zal het “Smart Government Pavilion” opzetten om initiatieven rond innovatie en technologie (I & T) te tonen. Het gaat daarbij bijvoorbeeld om elektronische identiteit (eID), slimme lantaarnpalen die het verkeer kunnen volgen en milieugegevens kunnen verzamelen, een intelligent transportsysteem met het gebruik van units in de voertuigen en het gebruik van virtual reality-technologie voor trainingsdoeleinden.

The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer will set up the “Smart Government Pavilion” to showcase innovation and technology (I&T) initiatives such as electronic identity (eID), smart lamppost that can track traffic and collect environmental data, intelligent transport system with the use of in-vehicle unit and the use of virtual reality technology for training. The Pavilion will also feature the upcoming “Smart Government Innovation Lab” which aims to facilitate the adoption of I&T to enhance public services by inviting the industry to put forward proposals of I&T applications and product suggestions for addressing challenges in public services, and conducting trials and technology testing of suitable proposals.

A pavilion from the Hangzhou Government will showcase its City Brain platform, which uses big data, cloud computing and artificial intelligence to offer solutions for city management. The system will be used at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou to help manage venues, events and participants. This project is headed by Dr Wang Jian, founder of Alibaba Cloud and the Chief Architect of this platform, who will host a seminar on 15 April to share its innovative applications.

More than 30 French companies – multinational corporations, SMEs and tech start-ups – have banded together to form the So French So Innovative Pavilion, which include Capgemini, Schneider Electric, STMicroelectronics and more. Some of the participating companies will host themed seminar and demonstrations during the fair (15-16 April) to share smart city solutions.

Other key exhibitors will include Cyberport, Airport Authority Hong Kong, Jetco, Microsoft, NEC, Hong Kong Science Park, SenseTime, Smart City Consortium and Xiao-i, as well as several local research and development centres including the Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre (LSCM), the Automotive Parts and Accessory Systems (APAS) R&D Centre, and the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI).

Running concurrently with ICT Expo is HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition).
