Last summer VIP received the very prestigious SME instrument phase 2 H2020 label in the “transport & smart cities mobility” category. With an overall budget of € 1.7 million, VIP is subsidized by the European Union at a rate of 70% or €1.2 million. The framework contract was officially signed early October.

VIP is the pre-industrialization program for Fuelbox sensors, the world’s first miniaturized scanner capable of analyzing the quality of fuels on board vehicles. The heart of the program remains closely linked to the reduction of COand pollutant emissions from vehicles.

“SP3H is a great example of innovation at the service of sustainable development. We are very happy to welcome them in our portfolio!” says Dr. Bernd Reichert, Head of SME Instrument, European Commission’s Executive Agency for small and medium-sized businesses (EASME).

“This labeling has a double advantage: it demonstrates both the European Union’s interest in our solution that target the reduction of CO2 emissions from thermal engines and also validates the stage of maturity reached by our technology,” says Alain Lunati, founder and general manager of SP3H.

SP3H also received a grant from the BPI (the national bank for Innovation) of € 20k for the project.
