KDDI: datacenter TELEHOUSE OSAKA 2 levert directe verbindingen met JPIX, de grootste exploitant van internet exchanges van Japan

TOKIO & OSAKA, Japan–(BUSINESS WIRE)– KDDI CORPORATION (TOKYO:9433) (KDDI) en Japan Internet Exchange Co., Ltd. (JPIX) zijn akkoord over de installatie van een verbindingspunt van JPIX binnen het datacenter TELEHOUSE OSAKA 2, dat wordt beheerd door KDDI in Osaka. De twee bedrijven verlenen vanaf 24 april 2017 internet-exchangediensten vanuit de nieuwe vestiging van JPIX in het zakendistrict Kyobashi in Osaka.

De samenwerking is opgezet om te voldoen aan de groeiende vraag naar internet exchanges (IX) en co-locatie in Osaka. Dankzij de krachtenbundeling hebben klanten van TELEHOUSE OSAKA 2 beschikking over de capaciteiten van KDDI om te voldoen aan een grote vraag. Ze zijn tegelijkertijd in staat solide verbindingen te leggen met het netwerk van KDDI en met JPIX’ geheel aan connecties met lage latency, waardoor klanten de mogelijkheid hebben hun activiteiten uit te breiden.

TOKYO & OSAKA, Japan–(BUSINESS WIRE)– KDDI CORPORATION (TOKYO:9433) (KDDI) and Japan Internet Exchange Co., Ltd. (JPIX) have agreed to establish a JPIX connection point (PoP [1]) within the TELEHOUSE OSAKA 2 data center operated by KDDI in Osaka, Japan, and will begin providing Internet exchange (IX) services as a new JPIX Osaka Kyobashi site on April 24, 2017.

The partnership, which aims to meet the growing demand for IX and colocation [2] services in Osaka, will give TELEHOUSE OSAKA 2 users access to KDDI’s capability to support the high power demand while offering high reliability and connectivity to KDDI’s network, and to JPIX’s environment that supports large numbers of connections with low latency, which ranks among the most extensive in Japan, enabling them to expand their businesses.

This move will expand the TELEHOUSE Interconnect [3] service used by KDDI’s more than 3,000 connectivity partners (carriers, mobile providers, ISPs, content providers, enterprises, etc.) worldwide.
