SIAE MICROELETTRONICA levert LTE-backhaulnetwerk in Afrikaanse landen

MILAAN–(BUSINESS WIRE)– SIAE MICROELETTRONICA implementeert draadloze transportnetwerken van topklasse bij verscheidene werkmaatschappijen van een pan-Afrikaanse mobiele telecomexploitant. De nieuwe backhaulnetwerken lanceren of verruimen LTE-services in de respectievelijke landen, wat voor eenheid zorgt in het regionale aanbod van de exploitant.

Het LTE-backhaulnetwerk zal in de eerste helft van 2017 actief zijn en omvat alle draadloze transporttechnologieën voor full-outdoor trunked radio met grote capaciteit voor overweldigend bereik in rurale en stedelijke gebieden. A 3 year multimillion dollar contract for microwave and millimetre wave radio for new LTE backhauling deployments

MILAN–(BUSINESS WIRE)– SIAE MICROELETTRONICA to deploy state of the art wireless transport networks in several Opcos for a Pan African mobile operator. The new backhauling networks will launch or extend LTE services in the respective countries unifying the operator mobile offering across the region.

The LTE backhauling network will start deployment in the first half of 2017 and will involve all wireless transport technologies from split mount, full outdoor and trunk radio for a high capacity, pervasive coverage in rural and urban areas. Along with AGS20 split mount platform and ALFOplus2, the market benchmark for full outdoor microwave radio solutions, SIAE MICROELETTRONICA will supply all related services of network design, optimization, installation and commissioning.

The use of millimetre wave radio ALFOplus80HD is also foreseen to boost multigigabit capacity in urban areas, maximizing LTE performances in terms of latency and offered capacity towards its subscribers. With the same wireless technology the operator also aims to expand coverage for it enterprise business.
