Kenneth Borton treedt aan als algemeen directeur bij H.I.G. Capital

LONDEN–(BUSINESS WIRE)– H.I.G. Capital, een toonaangevende participatiemaatschappij met 20 miljard euro aan eigen vermogen in beheer, maakt met blijdschap bekend dat Kenneth Borton is benoemd tot algemeen directeur van WhiteHorse Capital, een dochteronderneming van H.I.G. Capital voor directe kredietverstrekking. Borton werkt vanuit Londen.

Kenneth heeft meer dan zeventien jaar aan ervaring in directe kredietverstrekking, gestructureerde financiering en bijzondere gevallen. Voor zijn aantreden bij H.I.G. WhiteHorse was hij algemeen directeur bij Citi, waar hij verantwoordelijk was voor investeringsmogelijkheden in krediet in Europa, het Midden-Oosten en Afrika. In die hoedanigheid gaf hij leiding aan directe krediettransacties ter waarde van 500 miljoen dollar in verschillende sectoren in de hele regio. Kenneth behaalde zijn bachelordiploma in economie aan de Universiteit van Bristol, waarna hij zes jaar heeft gewerkt als officier van de infanterie van de Britse strijdkrachten.


Kenneth Borton Joins H.I.G. Capital as Managing Director

Capital, a leading global private equity investment firm with €20 billion of equity capital under management, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kenneth Borton as Managing Director of WhiteHorse Capital, the direct lending affiliate of H.I.G. Capital. He will be based in London.

Kenneth has over 17 years of experience in direct lending, structured finance and special situations. Prior to joining H.I.G. WhiteHorse, he was a Managing Director at Citi with responsibility for the Credit Opportunities business in EMEA, managing over $500 million of direct lending transactions across sectors and throughout the region. Kenneth received a BSc in Economics and Politics from the University of Bristol, after which he spent 6 years as an infantry officer in the British Army.
