Fitch Group Appoints Ranjit Tinaikar as President of Fitch Information Services

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Fitch Group today announced the appointment of Ranjit Tinaikar as President of Fitch Information Services, effective December 1, 2016. Dr. Tinaikar will oversee all of Fitch Information Services businesses including: Fitch Solutions and BMI Research. Based in Fitch’s New York office, he will join the Fitch Group management team and report to Fitch Group President and Chief Executive Officer Paul Taylor.

Dr. Tinaikar brings to Fitch the global experience of working with Financial Services firms in Asia, Europe and North America. He joins Fitch from Thomson Reuters, where since 2012 he was Managing Director and Global Head of Asset Management, Wealth Management, Investment Banking and Research. He led the transformation of that business by revamping its product delivery strategy to focus intensely on the needs of the customer. Prior to Thomson Reuters, Dr. Tinaikar spent 14 years at McKinsey & Company where he was a Partner driving business performance improvement for financial services companies around the world. Previously he was a consultant with Deloitte. He began his career in 1991 with Citicorp information technology in Mumbai, and later taught management information systems at Carnegie Mellon.

Dr. Tinaikar earned his Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master’s degree in Industrial Management from the Indian Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Bombay.
