SailPoint Kicks Off Navigate ’16 in Austin to Discuss the Future of IAM

AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)– SailPoint, the global leader in identity and access management (IAM), kicked off its annual identity governance conference, Navigate ’16, today with a sold out crowd of 600 customers, partners and prospects. Hallmarks of this year’s Navigate conference agenda include keynote sessions from Kevin Mitnick, author of The Art of Deception, and The Honorable Michael Chertoff, the US Secretary of Homeland Security from 2005-2009 and founder of The Chertoff Group. Navigate ’16 attendees will also hear from executives at SailPoint customers including Duke Energy, GM Financial, Humana, and Weight Watchers.

John Pressley, IT director for Duke Energy, will be sharing insights that the Fortune 125 energy company learned while addressing NERC CIP. “At Duke Energy, our implementation of SailPoint IdentityIQ was the foundation for a unified identity governance strategy for our entire organization,” said Pressley. “What I liked the most was replacing 13 disparate solutions with one single strategic solution. What our regulatory, audit, SOX, and compliance teams liked most was the ability for us to meet their needs faster than ever before.”

As the identity governance conference, Navigate ’16 will deliver content-rich sessions for all attendees, regardless of their role in identity management, or how far along they are in executing their long-term IAM strategy. This year’s attendee list represents a marquee list of global leaders spanning virtually every industry. The attendees also include:

  • CIOs who have implemented SailPoint at more than one company;
  • 100 organizations who have replaced outdated, legacy solutions with SailPoint’s IAM platform;
  • Customers managing millions of identities and connecting to thousands of applications;
  • Enterprises at all stages of cloud adoption, including dozens taking a “cloud-first” strategy with identity-as-a-service (IDaaS); and
  • SailPoint experts from leading technology, reseller and global SI partner organizations.

Based on the high demand for the conference, SailPoint today also announced that Navigate ’16 will follow SailPoint’s customers around the globe. Navigate Australia will be held in Sydney on August 24 th, and Navigate Europe will be held in Berlin on October 10-12. More information on both conferences, including agendas and updates on keynote speakers, can be found at: www.sailpoint.com/navigate.

“What excites me most about Navigate this year is how much emphasis we’re collectively seeing and hearing from customers on the idea of rallying their overarching security and risk management programs around identity governance,” said Mark McClain, CEO and Co-founder of SailPoint. “This is an important turning of the tides for forward-looking companies who realize that, at the crux of it all, identity is everything. I’m looking forward to some great conversations this week at Navigate. It’s an opportunity for us to foster relationships with our community of customers, partners and prospects, which goes a long way in helping to ensure their long-term success.”
