“We saw great success in our first phone drive last year and this year we expanded it by teaming up with a carrier partner so additional Bay Area residents could participate,” said Lixin Cheng, chairman and CEO of ZTE USA. “We continue to look for ways to make a greater impact in local communities and supporting the Warriors Community Foundation and Hoops for Kids ensure underserved youth in the Bay Area receive funding in key areas such as education, sports and fitness.”

From March 12 through March 23, Bay Area residents donated used mobile devices at participating carrier stores in support of the phone drive. The phone drive culminated at the Warriors vs. Clippers game at Oracle Arena on March 23 where fans in attendance could donated used devices on the concourse and receive a Warriors poster as well.

“For a second year, ZTE’s phone drive will help improve the quality of life for children in our area,” said Jose Gordon, Warriors Community Foundation executive director. “We’re grateful for ZTE’s ongoing support and delighted that they share our vision of making a positive impact on our community.”
