SES en Viasat verlengen samenwerking voor tv-uitzendingen
LUXEMBURG–(BUSINESS WIRE)– SES S.A. heeft vandaag aangekondigd dat Viasat, een betaal-tv-kanaal dat direct via de satelliet uitzendt, heeft beloofd zijn samenwerking met SES te verlengen. De twee bedrijven werken samen aan de uitzending van Viasats circa 230 kanalen naar de Noordse en Baltische staten. Viasat is eigendom van de Zweedse media- en entertainmentgroep Modern Times Group (MTG). De overeenkomst is een grote stap richting zekerheid over het bedrijf op de lange termijn.
Viasat exploiteert gratis en betaalde televisiekanalen in SD en HD. SES gaat door met het uitzenden van alle huidige Viasat-kanalen via de ASTRA 4A and SES-5, die zijn gepositioneerd op 5 graden oosterlengte.
SES and Viasat Extend Partnership for TV Distribution
LUXEMBOURG–(BUSINESS WIRE)– SES S.A. (NYSE Paris:SESG) (LuxX:SESG) announced today that Viasat, a direct broadcast satellite television broadcaster and pay TV operator, owned by the Swedish media and entertainment group Modern Times Group (MTG), has committed to extend its partnership with SES for the transmission of its approximately 230 channels in the Nordic and Baltic countries. This agreement represents a major step to secure business in the region on a long-term basis.
MTG’s Viasat Broadcasting operates free-TV and pay-TV channels in SD and in HD. SES will continue to transmit all existing Viasat channels via ASTRA 4A and SES-5 on 5 degrees East to the Nordic and Baltic countries.
