PARIJS–(BUSINESS WIRE)– In 2015 staat, meer dan ooit tevoren, innovatie centraal bij het evenement Cartes Secure Connexion. De 33 finalisten van de SESAMES Awards en de 5 finalisten van de Startup Challenge kunnen het bewijzen. Deze twee evenementen waar naar uitgekeken werd, belonen de beste innovaties op de gebieden van veilige betalingsoplossingen, identificatie en mobiliteit.
SESAMES Awards and the Start-up Challenge: announcement of the finalists
PARIS–(BUSINESS WIRE)– In 2015, more than ever before, Innovation is at the heart of CARTES SECURE CONNEXION event. The 33 SESAMES Awards finalists and the 5 Startup Challenge finalists can prove it. These two highly awaited events reward the best innovations in the fields of secure payment solutions, identification and mobility.
The SESAMES Awards will be presented on 17 November during the ceremony, which will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the Jean Thèves Amphitheatre (hall 4 entrance) during the CARTES SECURE CONNEXIONS.
On 18 November from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the 5 Startup finalists will make their presentations in front of the panel of judges as well as the public. The winner will be announced when the judges have reached their final decision.
33 SESAMES Awards finalists
A highly acclaimed award in the industry, for twenty years the SESAMES Awards have been an occasion to recompense the best innovations in the fields of secure payment solutions, identification and mobility. A veritable promotional springboard, the SESAMES Awards give the winners visibility and legitimacy guaranteeing the success of their projects.
The 2015 edition of the SESAMES Awards is marked by a large participation and the addition of two new competition categories: the “Best Joint Initiative”, whichhonours joint projects designed by several companies having the same economic and social objectives; and the “Best Connected Objects Applications”, which recognises the massive growth of connected objects.
Out of the 15 different competing countries, all types of companies are represented i.e. from Startups to SMEs as well as major global companies.
11 Awards will be given during the ceremony, which will be held at CARTES SECURE CONNEXIONS on 17 November at 6:00 p.m. in the Jean Thèves Amphitheatre (hall 4 entrance). The projects are selected on the basis of 3 fundamental criteria: the innovative character of the submitted product/service, its suitability in terms of the market and the strength of its sales arguments.
Exceptionally this year, a GOLDEN SESAMES award will be presented to honour the 20th anniversary of the competition. This award will honour the innovation that most impressed the judges this year.
The winners of each category will have the opportunity to present their innovation during the “Innovation Breaks” on the “INNOVATION TV” on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 November on the TV stage set up in CARTES SECURE CONNEXION (hall 3).

5 Startup Challenge finalists
Created in 2014 by CARTES SECURE CONNEXION in partnership with Fabernovel, the aim of the Startup Challenge is to reward the most innovative solutions submitted by Startups. A real springboard, the Startup Challenge enables young entrepreneurs to gain visibility, secure funding and gain privileged access to their target market.
The Startup Challenge 2015, sponsored by Galitt, is focusing on the security of new means of payment.
The STARTUP CHALLENGE is a member of French Tech
French Tech recognises all the stakeholders in the French Startup eco-system. It is also an innovative public policy embodied by the French Tech Initiative, which supports and promotes the growth of Startups.
