MÜNCHEN & LUXEMBURG–(BUSINESS WIRE)– SES Platform Services, dochteronderneming van SES S.A., geeft een live demonstratie van zijn nieuwe dienst LIQUID VOD. Het bedrijd presenteert op IBC 2015 voor het eerst deze video-on-demand-dienst via satelliet.
LIQUID VOD is een innovatieve distributiedienst via de satelliet, die gebruikers een echte VoD-ervaring biedt. De live demonstratie laat zien hoe distributie via de satelliet een directe en verrijkte video-ervaring op aanvraag mogelijk maakt. Deze oplossing overbrugt de kloof in breedbandinternet in onderontwikkelde gebieden en levert content aan een immer groeiende groep gebruikers, zonder dat dit voor stijgende kosten zorgt. De dienst is ontworpen om hoogwaardige content te leveren op basis van encryptiesystemen en ondersteunt alle grote verdienmodellen (SVoD, TVoD).
