Panasonic sponsort Braziliaanse sporters en Suikerbroodberg

RIO DE JANEIRO–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Met nog een jaar te gaan tot de Olympische Spelen van 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, heeft Panasonic Brazil aangekondigd dat Panasonic en PANABRAS de officiële technologische partner te worden van de Suikerbroodberg in Rio. Panasonic voorziet deze wereldberoemde attractie van projectoren, televisies, ledschermen, digitale bewegwijzering en andere elektronica. “We vernieuwen de audiovisuele systemen van dit beeldbepalende monument van Rio de Janeiro”, zei Michikazu Matsushita, directeur van PANABRAS, dat gedurende de Olympische Spelen uiteenlopende evenementen zal organiseren.

Daarnaast sponsort Panasonic een aantal Braziliaanse sporters. Zo steunt het bedrijf zwemmer Felipe França, beachvolleybalsters Juliana Silva en Maria Elisa Antonelli en tweevoudig winnaar van de Laureus Sporter met handicap van het jaar Daniel Dias. Volleybalicoon Maurício Lima, die in 1992 en 2004 olympisch goud veroverde met de mannenploeg, is gedurende de Spelen van 2016 ambassadeur van PANABRAS.

 

Panasonic Announces Sponsorship of Brazilian Athletes and Sugarloaf Mountain

RIO DE JANEIRO–(BUSINESS WIRE)– With the countdown now to one year until the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Panasonic Brazil (PANABRAS) has announced that Panasonic Corporation and PANABRAS have signed an agreement to be the official technology partner for Rio de Janeiro’s Sugarloaf Mountain. As part of the agreement, Panasonic is providing projectors, televisions, LED screens, digital signage systems and other equipment to be permanently installed at the world-famous attraction. “We’re going to update the audio and visual solutions of this Rio de Janeiro landmark,” says Michikazu Matsushita, president of PANABRAS, which will be holding various events at the location during the Olympic Games.

Additionally, Panasonic will be sponsoring a number of Brazilian athletes. Receiving the brand’s support will be swimmer Felipe França; beach volleyball duo Juliana Silva and Maria Elisa Antonelli; and Daniel Dias, two-time winner of the Laureus World Sportsperson of the Year with a Disability. Serving as PANABRAS’s ambassador for Rio 2016 Olympic activities will be volleyball icon Maurício Lima, who helped lead the Brazilian men’s volleyball team to Olympic gold in 1992 and 2004.

In addition to the sponsorship deal, Panasonic has opened a special website* that features these athletes along with Neymar da Silva Santos Junior (Neymar Jr.), who serves as a global ambassador for Panasonic. Along with videos of Neymar Jr. talking about the Olympic Games, the site will feature a series of campaigns related to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. The first campaign, starting from October 2015, will be an online treasure hunt game based in Rio, titled ‘’Find your Dream”.
