Visa en Stripe werken samen aan uitbreiding online betalingen

SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Visa Inc. en Stripe, provider voor mobiele en online betalingen, hebben vandaag aangekondigd dat ze een strategische samenwerking aangaan om hun nieuwe technologieën en online betaalervaringen voor verkopers, ontwikkelaars en consumenten te bevorderen. Stripe krijgt krachtens de overeenkomst toegang tot het afzetgebied van Visa, wat  de internationale groei van het bedrijf met name in opkomende markten versnelt. Ter ondersteuning van deze groei en gezamenlijke projecten op de lange termijn heeft Visa ook strategisch geïnvesteerd in Stripe.

De bedrijven werken samen aan de totstandkoming van internationale betaalsystemen voor nieuwe e-commerce-ervaringen, zoals ‘koopknoppen’ en andere toekomstige innovaties. Stripe is ook de een van de eerste bètapartners die via API’s en softwareontwikkelingspakketten zijn aangesloten op Visa-netwerkfuncties. Dit biedt het bedrijf toegang tot betaal- en risicobeheerdiensten, tokenisatie en beveiligingstechnologie van Visa. Dankzij deze gezamenlijke inspanningen bieden Visa en Stripe ontwikkelaars en de betaalsector een uitgebreide reeks mogelijkheden.

Visa and Stripe Partner to Expand Online Commerce Globally

 

SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Visa Inc. (NYSE:V) and Stripe, a mobile and online payment provider, today announced a strategic partnership to support new technologies and online payment experiences for merchants, developers and consumers worldwide. Through this relationship, Stripe will accelerate its international expansion, particularly in emerging markets, accessing Visa’s global footprint through its acquiring and issuing partners. To support this growth and joint long-term initiatives, Visa has also made a strategic investment in Stripe.

Working together, the companies will enable a global payments solution for new ecommerce experiences like “buy buttons” and new innovations to come. Stripe will also be one of the first beta partners to connect to Visa’s network capabilities via APIs and SDKs, offering their developer community access to payment and risk management services, Visa’s tokenization service and security technologies. With this joint effort, Visa and Stripe will offer an expanded set of capabilities to the developer community and the payment ecosystem worldwide.
