GSMA presenteert extra programma’s Mobile World Congress Shanghai

De GSMA heeft vandaag nieuwe informatie over extra programma’s en exposities op het Mobile World Congress Shanghai vrijgegeven. Het congres vindt van 15 tot 17 juli plaats in het Shanghai New International Expo Centre. De GSMA geeft verder informatie over exposanten, sponsoren en partners van het evenement in Shanghai.

GSMA Introduces Additional Programmes for Mobile World Congress Shanghai

The GSMA today announced the details of new programmes and exhibition
features at Mobile World Congress Shanghai, which will be held 15-17
July at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. The GSMA also
announced further exhibitors, sponsors and partners for the Shanghai
event.

“With just two weeks until Mobile World Congress Shanghai, we’re gearing
up for our largest and most ambitious Asia event ever,” said Michael
O’Hara, Chief Marketing Officer, GSMA. “This year’s Congress comprises
an even broader range of programmes and events, showcasing the very
latest innovations in mobile, and we’re excited to welcome the mobile
world to Shanghai in July.”

New Programmes, Partners Confirmed for Shanghai

The GSMA confirmed the addition of several new partner programmes taking
place at Mobile World Congress Shanghai. On Wednesday, 15 July, Visa
Worldwide is holding its “Visa Ready HCE Summit”, which will bring
together leaders in mobile payments to share their knowledge and
experience in implementing cloud-based payment solutions. King & Wood
Mallesons is also hosting the symposium “Innovate or Perish: Responding
to Change in the New Age of Digital Convergence” on Wednesday.

DigiTimes and the GSMA will be co-hosting the Smart Supply-Chain
Connectivity Summit on Friday, 17 July, focusing on Asia’s Internet of
Things (IoT) supply chain and applications providers. Also on Friday,
GlobalPlatform will hold its event, “Standardising the Trusted Execution
Environment for Mobile Devices”, which will explore the trusted
execution environment and the implications for players across the
ecosystem, while C114 will host the “’Internet+’ China Big Data
Development Summit”, examining the impact of big data on the
communication industry.

The GSMA also announced new partners participating in several events.
The GTI Asia Conference, which is hosted by the Global TD-LTE Initiative
and China Mobile and supported by the GSMA and the ITU, is focused on
accelerating TD-LTE deployment and promoting the convergence of LTE TDD
and FDD. Huawei joins the GSMA in presenting the “Entertainment
Unlimited Summit”, delving into the confluence of entertainment, the
internet and the mobile industry. Additionally, the Smart City Expo
World Congress and 2nd Smart Cities India 2016 Expo are the
supporting partners for the Smart Cities Summit, which will address the
long- and short-term challenges facing governments and municipalities in
evolving to a smart city model, as well as the success stories to date.

New on the Exhibition Floor

The Mobile World Congress Shanghai exhibition will showcase the
intersection of mobile and eSports with the addition of a live
professional video game competition by ESL, the world’s largest eSports
company. ESL’s live competitions draw thousands of fans to stadiums
around the world and Mobile World Congress Shanghai attendees will now
have the opportunity to experience this firsthand. ESL Arena will host
Warcraft III group matches, bringing the biggest gaming stars from China
and Korea to battle for spots in the semi-finals. Also in the gaming
realm, the “Gamelab Mobile Shanghai” mobile games conference and
networking event will be presented by HappyUniverse on Friday, 17 July.

Newly confirmed exhibitors for Mobile World Congress Shanghai include
Adblock Plus, Cloud Xchange Solutions, Giesecke and Devrient, Oral-B and
Net263. Among the new pavilions on the show floor is the European Young
Innovators Forum (EYIF) Pavilion in Start-Up Alley. EYIF will bring
together young entrepreneurs and innovators from across Europe to share
how they are changing the mobile landscape. Also in the exhibition, the
Innovation & App Lab presents insightful and inspiring sessions from
innovative companies such as Adblock Plus, Brocade, Canonical/Ubuntu,
Cina MCommunication Co., MUBIQUO, Qorvo and Teleena, among others. For

Appearing on the Showcase Stage

The Mobile World Congress Shanghai exhibition again includes the
Showcase Stage, featuring device demonstrations, product presentations
and a series of Showcase Dialogues. MobileMonday Shanghai will hold its
fourth MobileMonday China Start-up Challenge, with the winners and
runners-up in each category participating in the final round taking
place on Wednesday, 15 July on the Showcase Stage. Further Showcase
Stage sessions include the China Mobile App Challenge from the Applied
Innovation Institute, as well as a Showcase Dialogue with Gene Yu, a
former commander in the U.S. Army Special Forces who has become a
