PARIS & GAINESVILLE, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– DNA Script en Dynamic Combinatorial Chemistry (DCC) hebben vandaag bekendgemaakt dat ze een exclusieve licentieovereenkomst hebben gesloten. Het akkoord verruimt het gebruik door DNA Script van een nieuwe DNA-bouwsteen, die door DCC op de markt is gezet. Deze bouwsteen brengt uiterst pure synthetische DNA samen met andere nucleïnezuren.

De technologie van DCC, die werd ontwikkeld door het gelieerde bedrijf Firebird Biomolecular Sciences LLC met hulp van het National Human Genome Research Institute (deel van de National Institutes of Health) in het kader van een project rond sequencing van het menselijk genoom, maakt nauwgezette controle van het enzymatisch proces mogelijk. De voorwaarden voor de overeenkomst bieden ruimte voor een bredere samenwerking. Die zou dan ook de vermarkting van nieuwe DCC-technologieën omvatten, die zijn ontwikkeld in het kader van een project met het National Institute of General Medical Sciences van de National Institutes of Health.

Partnership is a key milestone in DNA Script’s progress toward commercializing its high speed, high efficiency, free-of-harsh-chemicals, DNA synthesis technology

PARIS & GAINESVILLE, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– DNA Script and Dynamic Combinatorial Chemistry (DCC) announced today an exclusive licensing agreement that will expand the use by DNA Script of a novel DNA building block, commercialized by DCC, to synthesize high purity synthetic DNA and other nucleic acids.

Initially developed by DCC’s affiliate, Firebird Biomolecular Sciences LLC, with support from the National Human Genome Research Institute of the National Institutes of Health for its human genome sequencing initiative, the DCC technology allows for the tight control of the enzymatic process. The terms of the agreement allow for an expansion of the partnership to include commercializing new DCC technologies that have been developed under a project supported by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences of the National Institutes of Health. These technologies will enable DNA Script to advance its technology towards the production of long, high-quality DNA constructs.
