MANN+HUMMEL akkoord over overname filtertak Affinia Group

LUDWIGSBURG, Duitsland–(BUSINESS WIRE)– De MANN+HUMMEL Group uit de Duitse stad Ludwigsbug heeft vandaag bekendgemaakt dat het een definitieve overeenkomst heeft gesloten over de overname van de internationale filteractiviteiten van Affinia Group, met uitsluiting van Affinia South America (ASA). Affinia is de fabrikant van de filtermerken Wix en Filtron. Op dit moment is de transactie in afwachting van enkele wettelijk verplichte goedkeuringen. De twee bedrijven blijven in de nabije toekomst opereren als twee aparte entiteiten. De voorwaarden voor de overname zijn niet openbaar gemaakt.

Affinia’s filterafdeling is gespecialiseerd in filters voor olie, brandstoffen, lucht, hydraulische techniek en koelmiddelen. MANN+HUMMEL is een niet-beursgenoteerde expert in filtering, die filtersystemen biedt voor klanten uit de auto-industrie en andere industriële sectoren.

 

MANN+HUMMEL Agrees to Acquire Affinia Group

LUDWIGSBURG, Germany–(BUSINESS WIRE)– The MANN+HUMMEL Group, www.mann-hummel.com , based in Ludwigsburg, Germany, today announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which MANN+HUMMEL will acquire the global filtration operations (excluding its Affinia South America (“ASA”) operations) of Affinia Group, the manufacturer of the Wix and Filtron brand of filters. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals. The two businesses will continue to operate separately for the foreseeable future. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Affinia’s filtration business specializes in aftermarket oil, fuel, air, hydraulic, and coolant filters. MANN+HUMMEL is a privately-held global filtration expert offering filtration solutions to original equipment and aftermarket customers in both the automotive and industrial sectors.

Complementary customer relationships and competencies

MANN+HUMMEL and Affinia’s filtration business have highly complementary competencies and customer relationships. The two companies will bring together the best of on- and off-road and industrial filtration solutions. The acquisition will give MANN+HUMMEL access to market segments such as US heavy duty and hydraulic filtration.
